The CFCC cheerleaders and Ray were full of Holiday spirit on December 8, 2019 as they participated in the 17th Annual Wilmington Holiday parade. This parade starts at Front and Walnut streets and continues for several blocks down Front Street. A night parade with lights, music, animals, and entertainment, the cheerleaders were excellent representatives of Cape Fear Community College.
The weather was nasty with lots of wind and pouring rain, but that didn't dampen their spirit. The cheerleaders and mascot were a big hit with their festive cheers, Santa hats, lights, and candy canes. Entertaining both children and adults, they left a lasting impression, resulting in an honorable mention in the best non-float category. Awards were determined by a panel of judges and selections were made based on the overall presentation, image, sound, and creativity. Congratulations to the Sea Devil Cheerleaders!
