Martinsville, VA - Cape Fear women's basketball blew out Patrick Henry Community College 106-51 on Saturday.
There was plenty of scoring to go around, with five Sea Devils players scoring in double figures. Leading the way was Dynasty Heyward, who finished with 20 points. Sydney Austin followed with 16 points, while Ayonna Cotten finished with 13. Autum Morings scored 11, and Carly Massey added 10.
Road games can often be tricky with such long bus rides. However, as head coach Lori Drake pointed out after the game, her team came ready to play despite the long trip.
"I am proud of how we came out and put the hammer down after riding on a bus for four hours," said Coach Drake. "Our ladies came ready to play today."
The Sea Devils continue their hot streak, winning their third game in a row while improving to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Their next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov 20th, where they will take on Clinton College on the road at 5 p.m.
