WILMINGTON, NC --- The Sea Devil Women's Volleyball program will look to extend their winning streak to 14 matches in a row in their Tuesday evening home match versus Lenoir Community College in Cape Fear's annual "Dig Pink/Fan Appreciation Night".
The Sea Devils are coming off a home doubleheader sweep last Saturday with a 3-0, (25-23, 25-13, 25-18) victory over Potomac State College of WVU on Saturday morning, followed by a 3-1, (25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19) victory over Spartanburg Methodist on Saturday afternoon.
"Solid win, they're a good offensive team that we were looking forward to playing. We came together, and overall I'm happy with the way we [played] at 11 o'clock in the morning," said Sea Devil Women's Volleyball head coach Emily Coleman following their win over Potomac State College of WVU.
"We were challenged in this game, didn't pass well as we needed to, so we were out of system quite a bit. We fight when we [are] up against the wall. We just need to make sure we start out [the match] fighting," head coach Emily Coleman added following their win over Region 10 Conference opponent Spartanburg Methodist.
The Sea Devils enter the match versus the Lancers of Lenoir Community College with a (16-6) overall record and a (13-1) Region 10 Conference record, as well as (8-0) in home matches inside of the Schwartz Center.
Cape Fear defeated the Lenoir CC in their first meeting on October 1, 2016 by the score of (3-0, (25-14, 25-23, 25-13)) on the road from Kinston, North Carolina.
"We are focused and locked in to finish this season strong, said Emily Coleman in her pre-game presser on Monday prior to Tuesday's evening match-up versus the Lancers.
