Bio
Nate Torbett joined the Sea Devils in 2020 as an assistant coach of the Sea Devils Men’s Soccer program. Torbett, an alumnus of the soccer program and former Sea Devil captain, returns to assist the coaching staff in bringing collegiate and professional playing experience. Most recently, he was co-captain of Wilmington Football Club, competing in the inaugural season of the First Flight League.

In 2016, Torbett signed a professional contract for the Coomera Colts in Australia, where he played for two seasons. In his first season with the Colts, he helped the team to the Finals of the BLK Cup and was named the Clubs most improved player during the season. In his second season with the club, the team took an extensive jump, finishing in the top half of the league table. While a club member, Torbett also coached a U18 Colts squad that finished top 4 in the league with a first-round playoff appearance.  Torbett started his college career at Winthrop University in the Big South Conference. As a freshman, he decided to red shirt and later to transfer. He moved on to the Sea Devil program, where he enjoyed a stellar career at CFCC.

Torbett earned his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from East Carolina University and his Associate's Degree from Cape Fear Community College.
