Spartanburg, SC - The Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team wrapped up a two-game weekend road trip to South Carolina with an 89-76 victory over Spartanburg Methodist on Sunday.
Freshman guard Chrystall Jerome recorded a career-high 20 points in the victory as the Sea Devils improved to 22-1 overall.
"It's always really tough to play on the second day of a road trip," said CFCC Coach Chris Harris. "I'm really happy with Chrystall's play this weekend and the success she is having.
Averaging 7.5 points per game, Jerome has had seven double digit scoring games this season.
Cape Fear Community College, ranked at No. 10 in the nation in this week's NJCAA Division II Top 20 poll, remains 11-0 in conference heading into their regular season finale at Brunswick Community College on Thursday, Feb. 25. The Sea Devils have already clinched the regular season title and a number one seed in the Region 10 Tournament.
