Bolivia, NC - With a number one seed in the Region 10 Tournament and opening round bye after cruising through its regular season schedule, the Cape Fear Community College women's basketball team blew past No. 4 Brunswick Community College in a 79-43 result in Bolivia on Friday night.
Coming off a 47 point performance for the Lady Dolphins in game one of the event, the Sea Devils clamped down on Brunswick's all-time leading scorer Brianna Baham.
Cape Fear extended its winning streak to 24 straight, improving to 24-1 overall and 6-0 at neutral sites this season.
The Sea Devils look to earn a spot in the national tournament for the first time in program history when Cape Fear returns to the floor on Saturday. The Sea Devils faces the winner of Guilford Tech and Louisburg College in the Region 10 Finals at 2 p.m. at Brunswick Community College. Cape Fear swept both opponents during the regular season.
