Hickory, NC - Cape Fear Community College salvaged a weekend split in their trip to the western part of the state as the Sea Devils bounced back from their only setback in January to pick up a 79-67 win over Catawba Valley on Sunday.
Kristina Rumplasch, Jasmine Brown and Monica Alexander combined for 46 of their teams 76 points to lead the offensive attack. Brown notched a double-double with 17 rebounds to help in the rebounding effort and Alexander dished out six assists.
The Sea Devils moved to 10-3 in conference and 17-5 overall. Cape Fear has won nine of its last 10 games and wraps up a seven-game road trip with a visit to Lenoir Community College for a Region X matchup on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
